How to be saved and become a Child of God

Your first step is to understand that no one is good:

ROMANS 3:10-12

" As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one. There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable, there is none that doeth good, no not one".

Next you must understand you are a sinner:

ROMANS 3:23

" For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God".

You must understand the eternal cost of your sin:

ROMANS 6:23

" For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord".

ROMANS 1:18" For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all the ungodliness and righteousness of men".

You Must Realize that nothing you do can save you:

ROMANS 3:20

" Therefore by the deeds of the lawthere shall no flesh be justified in His sight".

ROMANS 3:27

" Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay but the law of faith".

Then realize that God's law has made a way:

ROMANS 5:8-9

" But commanded His love toward us, in that, while we yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath thru Him".

Next you must place your "complete" faith in Jesus Christ:

ROMANS 3:22

" Even the righteous of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe for there is no difference".

ROMANS 10:9

" That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him for the dead, thou shalt be saved".

ROMANS 3:28

" Therfore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law".

Now, if you believe that Jesus Christ alone can save you:

ROMANS 4:21

" And being fully persuaded that, what what He had promised, He was able to perform".

Then pray and ask Him:

ROMANS 10:13

" For whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved".

ROMANS 10:11

" For the scripture saith, Whosever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed".  
Realizing these things, all you have to do is pray this simple prayer and mean it.

Father God in heaven, I confess I am a sinner. I have made a mess with my life, and I need your help.

Please forgive me in the name of Jesus Christ. I confess all my sins to you and repent of them and all my wordly ways. I ask for Jesus to come into my heart and cleanse me of my sins with His precious blood and be my Lord and Master and Savior of my soul. I want to serve you from now thru eternity.

Thank you God for saving me, I believe by faith, I am now saved and one of your children.

In Jesus Christ name I ask for these things. AMEN
